It has been so hard not to talk about this with all of you! Need for Speed The Run is a high-stakes, high-octane race from San Francisco to New York. You’ll be pushing 200 miles per hour, causing chaos in urban traffic or blazing along icy passes while battling hundreds of other racers (and cops!). This game has blockbuster written all over it. I’ve been lucky enough to get some precious hands-on time, and let me tell you, it’s going to be AWESOME!
The visuals are absolutely jaw-dropping. Thanks to the Frostbite 2.0 engine, the cars look killer, the environments look phenomenal, and the characters are engaging as ever. As you would expect, we’re upping the ante on Autolog as well.
This game will take Need for Speed to the next level.

Need For Speed The Run is door EA aangekondigd op de E3 en zal tenminste beschikbaar komen voor de Nintendo 3DS, PS3 en X360.
Need for Speed The Run is een illegale race van San Francisco naar New York en speelt zich af in de ondergrondse racewereld. De politie zit je op je hielen en tijdens de races rij je door verschillende Amerikaanse staten. Daarbij doe je steden aan, ijzige bergpassen en smalle canyons.
Need for Speed The Run wordt verzorgd door de Frostbite 2-engine van DICE. Deze engine is ook gebruikt voor Battlefield 3 en zorgt voor verbluffende graphics en realistische rijervaringen op topsnelheden. Need for Speed The Run bevat ook een verbeterde versie van Autolog. Het systeem houdt bovendien je carrièrevoortgang in de gaten en je kunt er je statistieken vergelijken met die van je vrienden.
Nieuw in deze Need For Speed reeks is dat zodra je auto kapot is je te voet verder kan gaan.

Damn, ik kan nu al niet wachten. Dit ziet er uit als net zoveel fun als de laatste NFS : Hot Pursuit. Hebbe hebbe hebbe!
